PRINCIPAL PROFILE
Rod Roberts is president of Roberts Design Company, a graphic design firm
specializing in business-to-business marketing and communication. With over
27 years in the advertising and graphic design fields, his versatility and
creativity are backed by a comprehensive portfolio of print, illustration,
photography and logo design.
Prior to forming Roberts Design, Rod’s professional career included eleven
years with Richard Newman Associates, Inc., Champaign, Illinois, where he
served as vice president and art director. Throughout this period, his work
received national and international exposure for such clients as the
International Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus, Springfield
Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Computer Teaching Corporation. While with
Richard Newman Associates, he also worked on accounts for EMP Insurance,
First Federal of Champaign-Urbana, Jerry’s IGA, Rogers in Rantoul and
Consolidated Communications.
Rod began his career in advertising and marketing at Michael Richards
Advertising Inc., Clarksburg, West Virginia in 1979. As junior art
director, his design skills were utilized for clients such as Wechsler
Coffee, Van Cortland Gourmet Coffees, Aeromech Airlines and the Clarksburg
Sheraton Hotel.
In 1981, Rod returned to Wheeling, West Virginia, to assume the position of
art director at Harvest Communications. In addition to full responsibility
for creative concept and execution, he also served as account executive for
the two financial institutions on the agency’s roster and Wheeling Hospital.
A native of Wheeling, Rod holds a degree in Specialized Technology from the
Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He served his
internship with the National Cash Register Corporation (NCR), Cambridge,
Ohio.

David Michael Moore, art director
David Moore joined Roberts Design Company, Inc. in October 2006 as a graphic designer and recently promoted to art director. David is a 2006 graduate of Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, IL. with a B.S. degree in Art and a minor degree in Marketing. His talents were used designing a wide variety of materials from logos to advertising for Olivet Nazarene University; photographing student activity and campus events for marketing and promotions; and he has prepared comic book pages for DC comics.
A native of Arcola, Illinois, David enjoys illustration, acting, and photography.
